Solution
Run the personal folder repair-tool. Should be in: C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\Mapi\1033\NT\scanpst.exe
Details:
1. Close down Outlook
2. Find scanpst.exe, execute it, browse and find the personal folder (should be on My Documents or on a network drive (Lund)).
3. Repair the personal folder, this might take a while especially if the .pst-file is larger than your average bear.
4. Open Outlook again and make sure you can view the recovered personal folder.
Notes:Scanpst.exe also repairs .ost-files.
Personal Folder have a tendency to break if they become too large.
The upper limit on .pst- and .ost-files is 2000MB (1.82GB) so if the .pst-file is around or slightly below that size, instruct the user how to create a new personal folder or how to get rid of unneccesary e-mails before it becomes unusable.
Error message indicating that the Personal Folder might be too big: "Can't move items. The item could not be moved. It was either already moved or deleted, or access was denied."
